What are you thankful for?
The holidays are right around the corner. It’s so easy to get caught up in the rush of planning, shopping, cooking and entertaining. Sometimes, we just need a moment to take a breather, savor the season and remind ourselves of the many wonderful things to be thankful for.
Here’s a great activity for everyone at the Thanksgiving table:
All you need is a few pages of yellow, orange and red construction paper, a pair of scissors and markers.
Step 1: Cut leaves out of the construction paper. Make a leaf (or two) for everyone at the table.
Step 2: Have everyone write what they are thankful for on the paper leaves. It could be something simple “I’m thankful for chocolate” or something meaningful “I’m thankful for all my friends and family.”
Step 3: Display the leaves as tabletop décor or on a bulletin board.
Step 4: Take pictures of the leaves. You can even have each family member hold up their leaf so they can be in the picture. Then, make a gratitude photo book with the pictures so you’ll always remember your Thanksgiving.
