I truly love everything about December! Even in southern California, we enjoy crisp-cool weather and the excuse to wear winter coats and fuzzy hats.
Inspiration is all around me… holiday lights that that make our beach Piers sparkle and “sand angels” my kids make in the so cal “snow.”
I love a white, flocked tree with colorful ornaments and lights that brighten our family room in December.
We have a huge celebration at our home on Christmas Day with extended family & friends, and even some of my work crew that can’t get home for the holidays.
My husband usually deep fries several turkeys and guests bring a pot luck of side dishes and desserts. Since I don’t need to cook, I get to do what i love best…DECORATE!
Piles of stylish wrapped gifts under the tree and of course, no party would be complete without a party favor for kids of all ages (as “young” as 92!)
With full bellies, we often walk to the beach to watch the sunset and celebrate another wonderful, blessed year gone by.

For me December & the Holidays are all about the DECORATING!!! By far my favorite part. Finding that special ornament to add to our (My!!) ever-expending collection, choosing the theme for our tree (usually by color). This year we did it California style – lots of blue, some sandy sparkle and STARFISH!
