Ring in the New Year by adding something to your life — Project Life! It’s about capturing and celebrating life as it happens, from small moments to special milestones. You choose how to tell your story – day-by-day, week-by-week, month-by-month or seasonally in pictures.
Everyone has a story to tell. Choose your theme for 2012 – whether it’s your family’s adventures, what happens at work, or what you eat or things you see. Think about the everyday and beyond. Our new guided Project Life photo book styles (available in clementine and turquoise) make preserving the memories easy so you can concentrate on what you want to document.
Looking for themes and ideas? Here are three approaches:
In Jessica Deane’s series Kids Were Here, the mother of three photographs the items her kids leave around the house.

Travis Jensen captures the beauty of the people he meets on the streets in his black and white portraits.

A fan of mobile photography, John Curley takes pictures of his natural surroundings while out walking his dog.

Be inspired by these storytellers. Share your approach to Project Life with us – what will you choose to capture and preserve?

I like your article, it is endless what we can capture if we take our camera with us and be aware of our surroundings. Great article. I love writing articles too!

I am knee deep in a 365 Project! I hope I can keep up the pace! Everday life is more interesting than I thought too. Hopefully I can have a great Project Life book at the end of the year.

Great article Heather. I like the photos of the Kids Were Here – neat idea to photograph things in their life without them being in it; dolls, trucks, laundry! I love the new Project Life books. I’m also doing a Project 365 – its fun and challenging to find something to photograph every day.
