Make a Father’s Day Photo Book That Comes From the Heart

Whether it’s his first Father’s Day or 10th, one thing we know for sure, Dads love getting photo books. They neatly and sweetly capture memories that mean so much to him. So, let’s talk about what to include in your Father’s Day photo book (other than pictures of course). We’ve chosen one of our newest designs , but there are many Shutterfly styles that would work just as well.
Once you’ve found a style, decide how you want to tell your story; a chronological ‘look back’ over the previous year, or a combo of special moments and milestones?
Once you’ve added your pictures (I like to organize mine using the Storyboard feature), you can really have fun writing captions to express your young kids’ feelings about their Dad, or let the older kids write out their thoughts about Dad. Then, use embellishments to help tell the story of each page.
Remember, most styles offer three or four page background color options, so choose colors to complement your pictures or stick with a single neutral tone throughout. It’s up to you.
If you don’t find an embellishment within your style that captures what you’re trying to say, remember, you can use any embellishment from any style when making an All New Custom Path photo book.. Just click “see more embellishments” to view them all.
If your kids are at the age where they make a lot of art projects, scan them and create some ‘gallery’ pages to feature their favorites. As a bonus, you can get them off the refrigerator and know their original brilliance has been documented and archived for future reference.
I hope this gives you some ideas for this year’s Father’s Day photo book. Have fun!
