I have been a Shutterfly user for a few years now, but I just recently discovered the many possibilities beyond just photo sharing and storage. Shutterfly photo books [1] are awesome! The online program is extremely user friendly and a great tool for teachers.

I am a sixth grade middle school teacher and recently created a photo book using Shutterfly’s yearbook templates in the Storytelling Collection [2]. I wanted to create a book for my students that would be both affordable and memorable. It would become our very own classroom yearbook. School yearbooks are so expensive nowadays. This book would be a more personalized version of the yearbook. I could easily share the completed project with my students’ parents and give them an opportunity to purchase the book.

When I was in school, the first thing I did when I got my yearbook at the end of the year was look for my photos. If I was lucky, I was featured twice. With Shutterfly photo books [1], I am able to feature my students as many times as I want. I take tons of photos of my students throughout the school year – projects, field trips, school dances, etc. It’s something I know parents will appreciate. What better way to preserve those memories than in a high-quality, full-color book?

Creating a book is easy! Simply upload your photos and let Shutterfly do the rest. You can also import photos from your Facebook account. I think it took me a total of an hour and a half to complete my project from start to finish. There are tons of layouts and templates to choose from. The idea pages are very helpful. Everything in your book is editable and customizable. You can resize photos, embellishments, backgrounds, text and much more. I can’t wait to explore all of the great products Shutterfly has to offer!
