My fiancé proposed to me over Labor Day, and he brought his camera along to capture every minute of our special weekend together. When we got home and started looking at the photos, I wanted to do something fun with them so I could preserve the event and share it with our families – but I wasn’t sure how to do it. I thought about a framed picture or two, but it didn’t really tell the whole story of the proposal and our celebration that followed, so I decided to make my first ever photo book.

To be honest, I was a little intimidated by photo books since I don’t think I’m that creative, but I used Shutterfly’s Simple Path process and it was so easy! It literally took me five minutes. I started switching around a few of the photos and played with backgrounds, but at the end of the day, I liked what Shutterfly created for me best.

I ordered three copies of the book – one for me and my fiancé, one for my parents and one for my fiancé’s parents. I could barely wait to see the finished product! When the books arrived, they looked beautiful, but best of all – turning the pages was like re-living that wonderful weekend. The photos captured the spirit and emotion of the day so much better than I ever could with words. And putting them all together in one book was the perfect way to show our families how we got engaged and how happy we are (which is what matters to them most anyway!).

Both my mom and my future mother-in-law are coming with me to try on wedding dresses very soon. I plan to wrap up the books, bring them with me to the appointment and give them the books at the bridal salon. I can’t wait to see their faces when they open them!

Amy, this is such a special time in your life. I was surpised with simple path, it is so easy but at the same time give you plenty of options. The layouts are really great and I also love the way it sets up your layout for you. I have ordered four simple path books in the past month for my grandkids, my mom and myself. It is not expensive and the quality of the photos are great. Love you book. BarbaraJ Shutterfly Gallery Guru

I find that in addition to to the photo book, Brides and their families really like calendars which reflect on their wedding for the next 12 or 18 months as well as Smilebox music slide shows of their special day.
Example of Smilebox:
