Pajama time photo fun

I love pajamas. My boys have too many pairs because I cannot resist them. PJs are cozy, comfy and fun! I realized the other day that of the thousands of pictures I’ve taken of my boys (yes, I’m just a touch camera obsessed), that I have almost none of them in their pajamas. Mornings are usually rushed, and the occasional all-day pj day is usually a sick day or an extra dark gloomy day.

On a perfect weekend morning in early September, we went outside in our pajamas and bare feet for a little camera time. We took along our favorite sleeping buddy the snowy owl, and I captured some truly fun images of my oldest son Levi.

He started a little game of toss the owl with his daddy, and was so happy that morning with his big huge smiles and lots of laughter. I loved watching him play, and I love that I finally have some images of him in his pjs and with his beloved nighttime friend, Snowy.

Jessi, you have such brilliant ideas! I love this – to do a fun photo shoot in jammies!

Love this article and I may have to try on my nieces and nephews. I like the beloved nighttime friend, snowy! You captured some amazing shots, and got that huge smile out of Levi. I can almost hear the laughter!

so fun! my girls LOVE their pj’s and will stay in them all day if i let them! we, too, have way too many…i love the idea of a photo shoot in them…and i LOVE the smile on Levi’s face where he’s catching snowy. what a great shot.

Pj’s are perfect non-costumes if you know what I mean. They are almost the perfect piece of kids clothing. They are bright, colorful, and just by putting them on they can become their favorite super hero or princess. In addition, they will not break the family budget and they keep them warm at night. Now all that is needed is someone with a camera! I am in on this one; I will try it.

Brayden has those monster yammies! :o) And they are my favorite. Sweet pictures of Levi. Your post made me think about a whole new photo book theme… all yammies, all the time! So thank you!

Love pictures in the jams. Some of my favorite photos when I was young are of us in bed or playing in our jams, too fun!!
