Pregnancy Photo Book Journal

As a follower of Pinterest, I’ve seen so many cute ways women documented their growing bellies throughout their pregnancy. I knew I wanted to do something just as cute so once we found out we were expecting, I put on my chosen maxi dress and I took weekly photos of my baby bump. At the same time, I began a Google doc to include the timeline, milestones and challenges I went through as a mom to be.

Once my pregnancy was pretty far along, I decided to merge the two concepts into a fun pregnancy photobook which I called “The Road to Brielle.” I chose a baby themed book and took advantage of the customizing options Shutterfly allows to add different embellishment stickers or rearrange the layouts as needed.
Early pages included the ways in which we found out we were pregnant and how we shared the news with family and friends:

Other pages documented dueling pregnant bellies with family members and friends who were also expecting, as well as, a photo of our fortune cookie gender reveal:

Later spreads documented our maternity photo shoot:

I included our family reunion photos and how I felt on that hot summer beach vacation and made sure to showcased some pictures of my daughter’s pink, grey and white nursery we prepped for her arrival:

The final pages included her birth story that I wrote out by the date/hour with the help of my husband, Derek:

And the last pages included super cute photos of our little one in the hospital:

When we decide to expand our family, I hope to use this journal as a general guide or a sense of comparison on what happens during any future pregnancies. I love that I have this modern day diary of my road to Brielle!
