Vintage Chic Wedding Shower

Hi I’m Shanna from Restoration Redoux! It’s almost June, and you know what that means? Wedding season!

I’ve hosted several wedding showers in the past, and all of the party supplies at the chain stores just don’t cut it. When I host a shower, I like it to be more personalized to the couple, and Shutterfly is just the answer!

When hosting a shower you want it to be beautiful without breaking the bank, so it’s always good to incorporate items that you already own. In my home decor, I love mixing the new with the old vintage items, so that is what I decided to do with the shower I was hosting.

Since this was an outdoor party, I didn’t want to worry about having a messy cake to deal with, but I still wanted a centerpiece. I made a cake out of moss and stacked hat boxes, and I attached black and white prints in cute frames to the cake. I topped it off with a pink birdcage with a vintage cake topper inside.

I took fallen branches from our twisted willow tree and spray painted them gold. I set them in a vase I had and used mini clothes pins to attach vintage family wedding photos to them to make a Wedding Portrait Family Tree. I love that you can honor and incorporate family members that have passed into your wedding.

With Shutterfly everything is customizable. From cell phone cases and coasters for your wedding party to amazing photo books and posters, the sky is the limit! Whether you are hosting a wedding shower or just attending one Shutterfly is the answer!

I'm far from a DIY expert, but hopefully you can learn from some triumphs, and mistakes, and have a little fun along the way.
