A couple of fabulous portfolios of kids portraits caught my eye in gallery. Both of the books were created as a gift for the children’s mother. It inspired me to think about what moms I know who might appreciate a similar gift and to plan a play date with their kids to get these shots ahead of Mother’s Day this May!

“the D kids” by RobinH676 has some great shots of tweens and teens. As my children get closer to this age, I really enjoyed seeing how she captured their personalities and seemed to make the whole project fun.

“niki’ kids” is another beautiful book of photos of children 6 months and older. nikitaG6 has done a wonderful job capturing each of the children and laying it out in a clean and simple way with large full-bleed photos.

Whether you have a friend, a sister or a grandmother who might appreciate a similar book, think about Shutterfly for Mother’s Day this year.
