Wedding photo books – beyond the big day

If you’ve spent any time in the Shutterfly Gallery, you know how popular our photo books are for telling wedding day stories. There are many beautiful books that have been created and shared, including “Jen and Van’s Wedding” featuring JenLy.

But, photo books can be used for more than just remembering the wedding day. Michele_7677’s “engagement photo guestbook”, is a photo history of the couple that guests can sign and add inspirational messages.

MistyC46 made “wedding gift recipe book” for her niece. With recipes from both sides of the family, it became more than a gift for the bride, because other family members ordered copies, too.

JamieZ12 created “rehearsal dinner”. The photos capture the practice ceremony as well as dinner that followed.

Finally, CaraC20 made “Tradition Begins with Commitment” which captured all the wedding festivities – from the engagement party, bridal shower, and bachelorette party, to the wedding weekend.

Great to learn more about you — You’ve been a Shutterfly fan longer than me; I first ordered in 2002. I can’t imagine the number of photo books S’fly produces, and how the quality stays so high. Do you produce 50 or more books a day?

more about Lara H

By way of introduction, I’m LaraH. I’m a long-time customer of Shutterfly (beginning in January 2000 with the birth of my first daughter) and now an employee (since mid-2004). I’ve been making photo books since we launched the product in June 2005, but in that time it has evolved from a work responsibility, to a hobby, and dare I say passion. Most of the books I make revolve around my children and our family journeys, so I thought it was a fitting way for you to get to know me better to see “ My First Photo Book.” http://community.shutterfly.com/gallery/post/start.sfly?postId=/gallery/1/post/GMGDBgyYNGLdg5ZgLl7Adq. It’s the story of my daughters’ first few years, told mostly through pictures.
