New July 4 invites!

July 4th is the king of all summer parties (at least in my neck of the woods), and every year our whole neighborhood gets together for a big gathering. To make the experience complete, invitations MUST be sent, and I’m the one to send them. No worries though, because our new collection of cool styles and layouts will make it easy. This year, I’m going for the photo card. I’ll either use one image from last year’s party, or create a collage using several photos from previous years.

If you’re wondering why I’m partial to photo cards, here are my two reasons. 1. Nothing speaks to us more a snapshot. A fun photo on the front of my invite will be sure to get invitees super excited about attending our party  2. They make great keepsakes! I still have last year’s invite on my fridge, and I smile every time I look at it.

For those of you who would rather go no-photo this year, we’ve got a fantastic collection of invites that are so stylish, you won’t even miss that picture.

Rachel, I love the cards and I will need some this year. We celebrate each year my son’s birthday and our daughter’s birthday. The 4th and the 5th! Great article, and thanks for the reminder.

I used to print my cards for people’s birthdays/weddings or special occasions. But my printer has been lousy the last couple of years. So, I have turned to Shutterfly cards and invites. I check my calendar to see who’s is coming up and then i get cards ready, personalize them and can’t wait to get them in the mail. Everyone LOVES these Shutterfly cards much better than my printed ones!! And they look so nice – they really are a great keepsake. June is a big bday month for our family with my mom’s, mine, my sisters and then the Fourth. Oh, and of course Father’s day. I ordered invites for my sisters party (which i mentioned before) and just mailed them off – they look so nice. I’m very impressed and hope everyone else will be too! Her party is July 2nd, the start of the Fourth of July weekend!
    Great article

It is Christmas in July for Americans! A great reason to have a big ol’ bash and enjoy watermelon as we party in honor of our great nation! Oh yes an custom invite is a must for your neighborhood block party. I love these new styles of invites. Great designs and the photocards always my favorites.

Thank you for visiting “Picture More”, Shutterfly's Community Blog. My name is Rachel, and I come from a long line of photo enthusiasts. My grandparents kept a large (and heavy!) collection of family photo albums in their living room, which my sister and I loved looking through. My mother continued the tradition by becoming a hobby photographer (phrases like “smile, “hold that pose” and “let me get my camera” were a constant part of our lives). Now my sister and I are avid camera fans. She takes beautiful pictures of her children, and I enjoy capturing the many far-away places my husband and I visit. What I love about Shutterfly is that it helps me turn my photos into meaningful keepsakes like photo books, calendars, and photo gifts (I love my coasters, posters, mug and mouse pad!). My memories are now a part of my everyday life, not living in a shoe box or hard drive. And what I love about "Picture More" is that it will help us get even more creative with our pictures. I'm excited to exchange ideas with all of you!
