This past weekend I received several gifts in the mail from my family and friends, so now I have an excuse to whip out my new thank you cards. This is the first time we’ve offered 3×5 folded note cards, and they are great for several reasons: they’re small, convenient and most styles allow for a photo or photos. Here are a few of my holiday favorites:
I thought it would be fun to have a New Year theme design since I will be sending most of my thank you cards in 2011. Here are some designs I love that are more New Year’s themed:
I just ordered the yellow one above – The picture I used was priceless and somewhat humorous! It is a picture of me from New Year’s Eve last year….I am wearing a tiara and holding a kazoo with fireworks in the background. Though this is a funny picture, I am pleased that I was able to express my personality through a simple design.
Of course, thank you cards and personal stationery are always good to have on hand throughout the year…Here are a few of my “everyday” favorites:

I just sat down and made 6 different thank you cards for my daughter to give to each one of her elementary school teachers at the end of this year. Why…because she is heading off to middle school and my diligence of taking the 1st day of school photo finally pays off! All of her teachers are still at the school and I feel teachers don’t get all of the thank yous they deserve.
So my big idea was to make each teacher a card to say thank you and place a photo of my daughter on the first day of school of the grade they had her in their class. Then I will have my daughter write something special for each teacher and will give it to them at the end of this year making the fact is moving up to middle school. Memories, photos, thank yous and a big milestone all wrapped up in a Shutterfly 5×7 card.
