Inventive Way to Display a Photo Book

A photo book is a work of art — display it on an easel.

Is your beautiful photo book hiding on a shelf? A low shelf that no one could possibly notice? If your answer is “yes”, I’ve got two words for you.

TABLE EASEL

Displaying your photo book on an easel makes it super easy for you and your family to enjoy those photo memories every day. Plus the easel transforms your book into a showpiece, by literally elevating it above the surface of your table or shelf, and highlighting those two page spreads. Kind of like what a frame does for a painting or photograph.

Update your easel display on a daily or weekly basis by simply turning the pages in your book.

Here are three easels that are on my wish list. Take a look and let me know what you think. If you have any photo book display ideas, I’d love to hear them, too.

Wedding Chalk Board Signs by Morgann Hill Design – These pieces have a unique handmade look. Great for my niece’s bedroom.

Dark Steel Scroll Stand (Easels Direct) – Elegant and versatile. You can use them as table stands or wall mounts. Perfect for the living room. They come in 6-packs for those of us who have many books to display.

Shesham Cookbook Easel by Ten Thousand Villages – This company supports artisans around the world. The detail work on this handcrafted piece is stunning. Beautiful showpiece for your coffee table, cabinet or wall shelf.

i really like the idea of displaying our photobooks. I like the plate racks that can also be used to display 3 or 4 8×8 books. Thats been something i have been wanting to try. These are great ideas! Thanks Rachel

I have replaced all of my pretty china dishes with photo books…all of these plate holders work perfectly for my photo books. I love showing off my books and if the kids knock them down…they dont break!

more about Rachel B

Thank you for visiting “Picture More”, Shutterfly's Community Blog. My name is Rachel, and I come from a long line of photo enthusiasts. My grandparents kept a large (and heavy!) collection of family photo albums in their living room, which my sister and I loved looking through. My mother continued the tradition by becoming a hobby photographer (phrases like “smile, “hold that pose” and “let me get my camera” were a constant part of our lives). Now my sister and I are avid camera fans. She takes beautiful pictures of her children, and I enjoy capturing the many far-away places my husband and I visit. What I love about Shutterfly is that it helps me turn my photos into meaningful keepsakes like photo books, calendars, and photo gifts (I love my coasters, posters, mug and mouse pad!). My memories are now a part of my everyday life, not living in a shoe box or hard drive. And what I love about "Picture More" is that it will help us get even more creative with our pictures. I'm excited to exchange ideas with all of you!
