Let your camera open your eyes

Your camera can help you discover the extraordinary.
Last weekend my husband and I took a day trip to a local winery, and before getting into the car I debated about whether or not to bring my camera. We already had photos of the winery taken by family members last year, so was it worth dragging the camera along?
Yes it was.
Taking photos of my day forced me to appreciate details I never would have noticed otherwise.
I shot a close up of the wine menu and discovered a new wine grape: Teroldego. Who knew?
I came across a local wildflower I’d never seen before, and discovered that a blossom doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful.
Check out this fern. I didn’t know they looked like this when they unfurled. I never would have seen it if I hadn’t been looking for cool nature shots.
I also learned that weeds are actually quite stunning.
I wasn’t just enjoying my day, I was creating my day. This ordinary outing had turned into something memorable and magical, all because my little camera helped me open my eyes.
