Today we have Katie from Sweet rose Studio sharing her unique business cards she created using Shutterfly’s 5×7 Thank You Cards.
Being in any kind of business field can be tough, especially when it comes to standing out among the crowd. Blogging is no different and oodles of new blogs are created every day. It’s important for me to continually set myself apart from the crowd in new and innovative ways.
One instance — business cards. I just got back from SNAP and when you’ve got 500 of the most creative bloggers all clamoring to visit the same sponsors, it’s key to do something different from everyone else so that YOU will be the one remembered. I’ve put together some helpful tips to assist in making your creative business cards stand out, no matter the industry you may be in.
One way to get your business cards to make a statement is to go for a size larger than the typical. The card on the left is my business card and the card on the right is for Hazel and Ruby. Both of our cards are 5×7 and were the largest of the bunch that I brought home. They were easy to pick out based on their sheer size alone.
While Hazel and Ruby handed out these adorable calendars, I got slightly more elaborate with mine. I transformed a 5×7 thank you card from Shutterfly into a media kit of sorts, sans the numbers. I was able to create a print that could be easily framed on the front, while including some of my most popular projects and key social media links on the inside. The best part? I could carry my site branding throughout the entire card and not feel like I had to leave anything out. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box and stray from the norm!
