Kristy Dooley is a family portrait and natural light photographer based in Essex Junction, Vermont. Her passion for shooting goes beyond just portraits and lighting and into macro, food photography and lifestyle images. For Kristy, it’s all in the details. She uses a Canon 5d mark III with a variety of lenses and other gear of choice includes a Canon tripod and a remote interval timer. Kristy says, “My girls are the reason behind my photography, as I know all too well how quickly time passes. Every time I pick up my camera, whether it’s to capture your kids or my own, I’m hoping to pause time a little…to capture those priceless moments that are all too fleeting.” When Kristy isn’t behind the camera she loves spending time with her family and can be found biking or hiking.

She loves to spend time outdoors with her children and if not there, she can be found blogging or cooking. Lacey is the author of Photographing Your Everyday and one of the instructors of CMU’s Mastering Manual Exposure workshop.
