Our wedding day in June of this year was the happiest of my life and I wanted my wedding photo book to capture every minute of it. Of course with only 100 pages to work with and over 800 great photos, I had to make some choices. I wanted to include as many of our friends and family as I could so I could remember who was there with us to celebrate. I also wanted to capture all of the details we spent so much time planning. Then there was the beautiful venue to show off and last but not least, so many wonderful moments with me and my husband and our guests. This book was definitely a challenge, but with the help of some nice layout options and a little restraint, I think I got it right (after a lot of tweaking of course).
When I started the book, I selected the 12×12 size with the black leather cover. At the end of the day, I couldn’t have been happier with the finished product. The book itself is definitely coffee table-worthy with its high-quality cover – and the simple black background really made the pictures stand out. This was also my first 12×12 and I was so wowed by how great it made my wedding photos look.
When I started arranging the images, I wanted a lot of full-bleed layouts, but then realized that mixing it up makes for a much more interesting book. Even if I wanted one photo on a page, I had fun playing around with different sizes and shapes.
The 4, 6 and 9 photo layouts were perfect for capturing pictures of our guests
Then, combining full bleed layouts with multiple-photo layouts helped me get all the pretty details in the book
That left me with plenty of pages for the party.
I ordered a copy for my parents and in-laws and they all loved it. For us, the book is so great to have on hand to re-live the day just how we want to remember it.
